unfolded page of the New York Times with punctuation removed, ink
Commission a newspaper constellation from the day of your choice.
Each drawing from this ongoing series is made of an unfolded page from the New York Times, with every punctuation mark removed. The remaining paper is saturated with its own medium: black ink, leaving a cosmos of blank spaces. The titles are drawn from the unseen text of each page, zooming into specific content from that day, ranging from individual tragedies and victories to world wide events. Each page becomes like a constellation, conflating the everyday with the cosmic.
You may send me a newspaper you have saved, or select any day from the previous 90 days (the duration that the New York Times makes back-issues available). Or, if you prefer, I will choose a day for you.
