Winter Residencies


This January, Skye will be an Artist-In-Residence at Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts in Nebraska City, NE. She will then spend February through April as an Artist-In-Residence at Anderson Ranch near Aspen, CO.

Upcoming Exhibition at b.j. spoke Gallery


Two of Skye's drawings will be included in Paperworks 2009 at the b.j. spoke Gallery in Huntington, N.Y. The exhibition will be up August 1 through August 30, with a reception August 8. Juror Maura Heffner is the Exhibition Manager at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

First Place Award


Skye's work received the First Place Award at the Majestic Gallery's Annual Juried Exhibition. Juror Catherine Evans has been a curator for the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Canadian Center for Architecture. She is now the Chief Curator of the Columbus Museum of Art. The show runs June 25 through July 26.

Detroit Symphony Orchestra - Artist Residency


This summer Skye partnered with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra to create a drawing during the annual 8 Days in June Festival as part of "Art Inspired by Change."

Learning to Love You More


Skye's contribution to LTLYM, a website started in 2002 by artists Harrell Fletcher and Miranda July, was chosen from over 5000 projects to be included in a book of Miranda and Harrell's favorite projects. Learning To Love You More has been called "wildly beautiful, imaginative, complex, funny, sad and simple." Skye's piece is also discussed in an essay included in the book.
